Send a fax

Documents and images, up to 32 MB total. Drop files here, or pick them.

PDFs, Word and Office files, and common images including PNG, JPEG, TIFF, HEIC, AVIF and WebP are prepared on the node before any call is placed. You may add more than one source; their order is preserved.

Preview outgoing pages

Render the same fax rasters the node would hand to the modem, including the mandatory header band. Previewing never creates a queue entry, uploads a durable copy, or places a call.

Recipient

Cover page

Rendered by the service and sent as page 1. Turn it off to send only the selected documents.

Your name, company, and fax fields also fill the mandatory page header and station ID until you edit either one yourself.

Cover defaults

Save your sender identity, confidentiality notice, and cover-page choice for every new fax on this device. Recipient, subject, reference, and message stay with this fax only.

Sender identity

Burned into the top of every page: sender identity, date and time. 47 CFR §68.318(d) makes it mandatory, so there is no switch here to turn it off and a blank one is refused.

The TSID, which is what the far end’s display and its own journal record. Uppercase ASCII and 20 characters at most — the field holds you to both, because that is all T.30 carries. Left blank, the node uses the station id configured on the line.

Transmission

Offer the fastest supported speed, colour and error correction. The other machine chooses what it supports; Baud falls back when needed.

Call records

Every attempt, not every fax — the fax row is the outcome, these are the evidence.

Rules

Evaluated on every inbound fax, in priority order. Rule actions run in the user session, never as root.
